The Convent has 24 bedrooms: 22 double, 1 luxury double and 1 suite. All rooms have the name of a brother and a balcony facing the Estrela mountain range.
The restaurant
The Gourmet restaurant, with a capacity for 50 people, within the Pousada Convento de Belmonte, is less than a mile away from the village center, in a secluded and quiet place, between the pine forests of Esperança hill and a dashing landscape over the Cova da Beira and Estrela mountain range.

The menu
If his soul could paint a painting, the result would be this restaurant. Chef Valdir Lubave, through his sense smell, learned to taste, perceive and distinguish and value the goods of our region, its wines and foods. With his sense of touch, he offered something special to a creative and irreproachable cuisine, characterized by the strong personality of its author. Thus, he leads the Gourmet restaurant of Convento de Belmonte that makes itself known through a menu consisting of dishes that please the sharpest eyes and palates. This corner is worthy of natural lighting, in perfect harmony with the sober decoration and the mantelpiece’s warmth, heating the view of the Estrela mountain range.

SERRA DA ESTRELA

BELMONTE HISTORY
A village as old as Portugal. Since 1500, it has been as famous in Brazil as it is in Portugal. The village of Belmonte received its foral charter in 1199 and can be found in the beautiful Esperança hill (former Crested hills).
